Ellen DeGeneres, the beloved comedian who has been entertaining audiences for years, recently announced that she is calling it quits on her stand-up tour, “Ellen’s Last Stand…Up.” While performing in Santa Rosa, California, Ellen disclosed to the crowd that this would be her last tour.
During the show, an audience member asked if they would be able to see Ellen on other stages, such as Broadway or in movies, after the tour concludes. Ellen gave a straightforward response, saying, “Um, no. This is the last time you’re going to see me. After my Netflix special,” set to air at the end of 2024, “I’m done.”
It was revealed that several of Ellen’s upcoming shows, including the ones in Dallas, San Francisco, Seattle, and Chicago, have been cancelled. While Ellen has not yet issued a statement regarding the cancellations, she expressed her gratitude to her fans for their continued support, saying, “Let me catch you up on what’s been going on with me since you last saw me. I got chickens.”
The 66-year-old humorously added, “Oh yeah, and I got kicked out of show business for being mean,” referring to recent controversies. She then joked about eventually being “kicked out for being old.” However, Ellen made it clear that she rejects the label of being mean, stating, “I am many things, but I am not mean.”
